The Swans

Just a few days before Christmas our good friends, The Swans, left Bend. They went back to their hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. We were really sad to see them go but are so glad that we got to know them and made tons of great memories with them. We know that our paths will cross again and we still talk to them about once every 2 weeks or so. We sure miss them though. Their son, Elias, is almost 2 years old and was Ayden's best buddy. We have several pictures of Elias on our fridge and Ayden always wants us to pick him up and show him the pictures. He points, smiles, laughs, and talks to the pictures of Elias. It is so stinkin' cute!!! We can't wait to see them at our wedding and meet their new baby girl, Lucia.

Here are some pictures of their last fews days in Bend with us. The mamas and their baby boys

Where did we go??

Wow....it really has been awhile since I have blogged. Sorry everyone. It has been a roller coaster ride lately trying to keep up with everything. Well I am back in the game. My goal is to catch you all up on our life and Ayden and then to keep blogging at least twice a week. He has grown so much since December. So I am going to start with where I left off......the Metolius Trip. I hope everyone is well and we miss you all.

Metolius in the Winter

My parents started staying in a cabin on the Metolius River every December to celebrate their anniverary, which is on the 14th of December. That also happens to be me and Andrew's dating annivesary (it has been 4 years now)!!! We met them out there last year when I was pregnant and again this year with Ayden. It was a lot of fun to have Ayden there. It started snowing while we were there, which was so beautiful and peaceful. What more could you want.......family, snow, warm fire, Metolius River, and AYDEN!!! It was really fun! I have a lot of pictures from this trip. These pictures are from my camera. My next post will be the nice photos from Andrew's camera. Playing with Grandma Sandy on the couch. Getting ready to go on a walk with Grandma Sandy. All bundled up and warm!!!Watching the snow fall! Drew being the awesome photographer that he is!!!

Ayden's 1st snowfall!!!

We are back and ready to go!!!! Sorry that it has been awhile since we have updated our blog. Between the holidays, winter storms, broken computers, work and school starting back up it's been hard finding time to sit down and do it. So I have a lot to update. We are going to start where we left off.

This is pictures from Ayden's first snowfall. Well....actually he saw snow when he was about a month old but he didn't really realize what it was. Now he is able to look at it, smell it, feel it, and play in it!!! He didn't actually do much playing in the snow. I didn't want him to get too cold.

This was the first snowfall in Bend this winter, Dec 13th. We got about 2 inches or so. Ayden was so curious about all the white stuff. These last two are pictures from the big storm that started Dec. 18th. These are pictures from the first day that is snowed, so there wasn't that much yet. We got a lot more snow. It lasted till the New Year! Ayden loved it. I think he has some snowboarding in his future!!!!

This video is from the first snowfall on Dec. 13th.
We hope we get a little bit more snow. It has actually been spring like weather lately. I actually had the doors open the other day while I was cleaning to let the warm air and sun in. Maybe just one more snowfall and then I think I am ready for the warm sunshine!!!

Sorry for the lack of posts

Hey everyone....
Sorry for the lack of posts lately. We have a broken computer and it just so happens that it is the one with all the pictures. We are trying to get all the pictures on the external hard drive and then on to our other computer. Bare with me....we are almost done. We have some great Christmas pics that we want to share with everyone. Check back in a day or two.

We miss and love everyone

Winter Time

We have been keeping busy this winter! We were sick last week but now we are feeling better and getting in the holiday spirit. This is one of my favorite times of year and we are so lucky to now have Ayden to share this time of year with. Here are some random pictures we have taken so far this winter!!! I hope you enjoy! love, Alyson

Every winter Andrew hangs Christmas lights for people around Bend. Its a nice little side job. Well it's not quite little, he does a lot and it keeps us really busy. Andrew is showing Ayden how to screw in light bulbs!

Helping mom and dad put the lights on the Christmas tree.

If you look closely you can see his new front teeth!

Cute bear suit that keeps him SO warm in this freezing weather. Thanks Ali & Matt!!

Helping Dad fix the lights. Such a good helper!
