Winter Time

We have been keeping busy this winter! We were sick last week but now we are feeling better and getting in the holiday spirit. This is one of my favorite times of year and we are so lucky to now have Ayden to share this time of year with. Here are some random pictures we have taken so far this winter!!! I hope you enjoy! love, Alyson

Every winter Andrew hangs Christmas lights for people around Bend. Its a nice little side job. Well it's not quite little, he does a lot and it keeps us really busy. Andrew is showing Ayden how to screw in light bulbs!

Helping mom and dad put the lights on the Christmas tree.

If you look closely you can see his new front teeth!

Cute bear suit that keeps him SO warm in this freezing weather. Thanks Ali & Matt!!

Ayden's 1st Thanksgiving

We had a great and relaxing Thanksgiving here in Bend. My parents and sister came over for the weekend. It was so nice. We had great food and enjoyed each other. My sister moved back to Tualatin that weekend, so we were helping her pack as well. Holidays are just so much more fun now that Ayden is here. It's like we get to be a kid again!!! Enjoy the pictures from our Thanksgiving weekend. -AlysonMy dad, mom, and sister making apple crisp and hanging outAyden being cute and hanging out with Dad while he watchs football.Mommy and sonOur feast and Ayden patiently waiting for dinner!

Trip to Utah, November 2008

Our trip to Utah was awesome. We were there for 6 days!! Usually when we go we are there for around three days, four max. This time, we decided that since we only see the fam in Utah once or twice a year, we were going to make our time count! It was so nice to be able to actually spend time with the family, vs racing around town making sure we get to see everyone, and everyone has relatively equal time. It is hard when the families live 20 minutes away from friends! Anyway, this time we were able to spend quality time with almost everyone. Better yet, Ayden was able to get used to all the new faces and feel comfortable around with the 50+ family members he had been introduced to over the week. Here are a few pix from the week in Utah. Combined, Aly and I shot about 4 gigs worth of pics and there are a lot of good ones, so I decided to post all the fam pics together and all the fun pics separately. Also, when I posted these I was choosing from tiny little thumbnails of pictures that all looked the same, so some of these pics might have eyes closed, or whatnot so... beware!!?!! Enjoy the first few shots, as there are many more to come!

This was taken by my bro pete at this really crazy place called Gilgal Garderns. I will post more shots from here later. I didn't post process any of these shots, so forgive the bad exposure!!

Goofin around killing time in SLC with Dan. This was taken at the top of the new SLC Library which has rooftop gardens. Again, more shots to follow. We randomly decided to take this hike, but it was well worth the view!

Mommy's Little Monster!

We sat down for dinner a few weeks ago and Andrew wanted to show him how to growl.........then I believe Ayden just wanted to explore his vocal chords. I think he hit every note! This makes me laugh everytime I watch it! Brace yourself!!!

Hello from Utah

We are having a great time in Utah.  The first day we were here Andrew's brother, Pete, came home from his 2 year mission.  The entire family gathered at the airport waiting for his flight to get in.  So Ayden got to meet his Uncle Pete for the first time and it was the first time in over 2 years that all of Andrew's brothers were all together.  There were lots of smiles, hugs, and tears.  We then went over to Andrew's dad's house for a yummy dinner with the whole family.  It was really nice to sit and chat with everyone and let everyone play with Ayden.

We have done a lot more that I would like to write about and more pictures to post but it's late and I am so tired.  I will blog more in the next day or so.  Enjoy a few pics.  We love everyone!  -Alyson

My future music maker

Ayden loves music and LOVES the drum. I'm going to try and find a small drum for him for Christmas. This drum is just too big for him and it's hard for him to play it unless Andrew or I are holding it for him. Drew loves playing the drum for him. What cute boys!
