Ayden's first 4th of July

Here are some pictures from Ayden's first 4th of July. We went to Bend's annual Pet Parade, had lunch with some friends at home, visited with our friend Gunnar at his cabin in La Pine, and watched the big fireworks on Pilot Butte. It was a long but fun day. Ayden really liked watching the fireworks. His eyes were SO big.

Drew's Birthday

Just updating more summer stuff. Drew's birthday was on July 1st but here are some pictures from that day. We had a barbeque at the house and some friends came over to enjoy the day. It was a nice time.

Drew's first Father's Day!

Well, It's about time I update this!!! We have been keeping busy this summer and rarely have down time to sit in front of the computer to update this but it is my goal to start updating this about once a week. Andrew just taught me how to fully use this and upload pictures, so now I have NO excuse! I'm going to start with Father's Day.

We had a great Father's Day. I made Drew breakfast and he opened presents in the morning and then we joined some friends for a barbeque and their son's first birthday party. It was a blast. I think Drew really enjoyed himself.

Utah trip, May 08

The trip was a lot of fun.  It was soooo nice to see the family again and have them meet Ayden.  It all went way too fast.  We are all looking forward for the next time we can all get together!

Sorry it has been awhile since we have updated this AND there is a lot to update.  We just have been so busy finishing school for the term and being parents!  This first blog is all about my first mother's day, which happened to be my birthday!  WOW, what an amazing day.  We spent the whole day with my family in Tualatin.  We had dinner and dessert at my Aunt MaryJean and Uncle Alan's house.  My Uncle Alan made the best shrimp jambalaya!!!  We opened presents and just spent some time with family.   Before we retired for the night Drew, Ayden, and I went to say hello to our friends, Mel and Mike.  On our way there, Drew took a detour and stopped the car at my old elementary school.  He got out of the car saying, "I can't take this anymore."  I thought he was either breaking up with me or proposing.  He took me out of the car, got down on one knee, and proposed to me.  I couldn't believe it.  Of course I said yes!  I was so happy!  It was the BEST ending to my first mother's day AKA birthday!  We are so excited to be married.  We haven't set a date yet but it will probably be next summer.  Here are some pictures of that AMAZING day.

Sorry we haven't posted in a while, we have been soo busy with birthdays, and mothers day, and school and work and diapers... I could go on and on.  Well we decided to take advantage of the 90 degree weather and go to our favorite river for an impromptu camp trip.  It was absolutely awesome!  Ayden loved every second of it!  He was mesmerized by the sound of the river, and loved watching the dogs run around camp.  He went to sleep early too, which allowed us all a little campfire time without the little turd!  On the second day, we all went down to Camp Sherman Store so Ayden could get a feel for where he will be spending his summers for the rest of time!  After walking around the store, and snapping some shots down by the river we packed up and went home.
